Pastel  is one of my favorite spring colors.   Yellow daffodil open its petals in early spring, a prairie is full of dandelions,  the lilac trees are in bloom. This is the landscape of Vermont in early May and  is carefully expressed in my beautifully handcrafted quilts.

The bright yellow color fabric is mixed with light green /mint color is then enhanced with either light blue or  pink background in the bordering of my runners.  The fabric chosen for my spring quilts collection is from R. Kaufman, Timeless Treasures and  Kona which brings out the true color of Vermont  mountains and fields in spring time.

The carefully weeded  flower beds  at these quaint inns in Stowe, Vermont are captured as images of spring flowers on photographs which are drawn into traditional blocks on paper and  then pieced into  beautiful spring  flower quilts.

Winooski Sunshine Table Runner was designed for P. Rabidoux who is a great gardener.  Every spring and summer he would bring in a vase of gorgeous yellow daffodils or painted daisies to be hung on  his office wall

Blue Empress was designed when I was visiting Winter Park , Colorado. Admiring the  blue cone flower  planted among the soft pink petunia in the street divider's flower beds, I have designed this Blue  Empress with the center block fussy-cut and traditionally pieced with flying -geese pattern in light blue & pink fabric.

Field Lily Lap quilt was designed  from inspiration of a block sampler which I had received as a gift from Satoru Nemoto's aunt.
